The Best Robot Vacuum That Mops

Noah Pinsonnault works as a product analyst at Good Housekeeping's Home Care and Cleaning Lab.

He tests and evaluates cleaning equipment, focusing on mopping and robot vacuum combos. These multitaskers are an excellent choice for those who want to take mopping off their to-do list. Some of them have excellent navigation and obstacle avoidance. Some even wash and refill mopping pads themselves for a hands-free clean.

The Eufy S1 Pro

If you're looking for a robotic vacuum that also mops then this is the model to go for. It is smaller than other options and makes it more maneuverable in tight spaces or under furniture. It features a 220 degree lidar, which when combined with its 3D Matrix camera system gives it the best navigation and object avoidance I've ever seen in a robotic vacuum. It's got a battery of 4600mAh which can last up to 170 minutes when cleaning and sucking are set to standard mode. (It can run longer when it is set to turbo). It can even return to the dock to top up its battery halfway through cleaning.

It's extremely quick and does an excellent job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It is able to vacuum carpeted rooms quickly and hardwood floors in the kitchen, living room and hallways in just one motion. The motor's 8,000pa power allows it to clean dirt as well as pet hair and poop with ease. Carpet detection automatically increases power when it detects rugs, and the dual side brushes help to clean debris from corners.

The mopping efficiency, while still impressive, isn't as good. The rotating mop spins at a high speed and is pushed down with 2.2lbs of force, easily cleaning up dirt and stains. I've noticed that the front arm protrudes out a little more than other robots. This is helpful when you're trying to get into tight corners or on baseboards. The same front arms can also be used to scoop up larger objects like broken toys and books.

Another nice feature is that the S1 Pro is one of the quietest robot vacuums and mops I've ever tried. It is quieter and doesn't make more noise when vacuuming or mopping. The only downside is that the S1 Pro must use a proprietary cleaning solution for its mopping function and is separate from the vacuum. It is easy to set up and works well. However, if you are buying this robot vacuum for mopping purposes you must be aware of this.

The Roborock Q Revo

The Q Revo stands apart from most robot vacuums that mops in its class. It comes with a wide array of features that make it a great choice for homeowners who want an efficient, flexible, and customizable cleaning machine.

The device has an extremely powerful and impressive cleaning system that combines LiDAR sensors and an RGB camera to map the home and detect furniture and other obstacles. This information can be used to clean effectively and effectively. This leads to an effective, consistent cleaning that's also fairly quick.

The Q Revo DuoRoller mop pad is capable of reaching many surfaces. This includes corners and baseboards as well as other hard-to-reach spots. They also have a stretchy side brush that can be extended to reach the floor close to walls and other fixtures. Additionally the mop pads are able to be cleaned and dried to prevent build-up and reduce the smell.

Another notable feature is the app-based customization options. The Q Revo lets you alter the suction level and select a back-and forth or slightly random pattern. You can also select the number of passes which will determine how quickly it can move around your home. You can also decide to disable the side brush to prevent damaging rugs and carpets.

It's expensive, but has many smart features. It is important to note that the device will incur regular expenses, such as mopping supplies and regular maintenance. For instance the brushroll needs to be replaced after 300 hours or every six to 12 months. The filter is to be cleaned every 150 hours, and the mop pads should be replaced every one to three month.

This robot vacuum mop has a high Amazon rating and comes with a wide range of physical automation features. It has an energy button that doubles as a general 'Clean button as well as a Home button that sends it back to its base station once it has completed its cleaning session. It also has a multi-functional dock that automatically emptys the trash bin and refills its water tank for mopping and washes and dry its mop pads.

The Shark Matrix Plus

The Shark Matrix Plus will be a good option for busy professionals or anyone who wants to keep their home tidy without spending too much time on chores. It has powerful performance, smart navigation, and a long battery life that makes it easy to keep your home clean with minimal effort.

The Matrix Plus robot vacuum is a 2-in-1 vacuum and mop. It is capable of mopping and vacuuming. The robot is divided into two modules, a dry bin and water tank that can be snapped out and in and a mopping module that has microfiber pads. Separate modules for mopping and vacuuming may appear a bit dated but they're a good thing because you don't have to think about changing disposable bags or refilling the tank with water.

Our testers discovered that the Matrix Plus did a great job at both vacuuming and mopping. Its most impressive feature is its accurate floorplan map, which it uses when cleaning. It was easy for the Matrix Plus to navigate around furniture, rugs and other obstacles. The app lets you create 'No-Go Zones' as well as virtual barriers that prevent certain areas from being cleaned by mop.

We also found that the Matrix Plus did surprisingly well in removing hair from pets. It was able capture an enormous amount of hair shed by our cats and even was able to get into the nooks and crannys of our stairs while other robots struggled. It was silent and also had a few pleasant jingles that indicated when it was about to start or finished its work.

The app was too basic and you had to alter the modules every time you changed between mops and vacuuming.  robot vacuum cleaners best  doesn't have the capacity to store multiple maps, which can be a pain when you live in a house with multiple floors. The Matrix Plus robot is a great choice for those who want a smart device that can vacuum and mop.

The Yiko X1 Omni

The X1 Omni robot vacuum is the most expensive in our review. However, it has certain unique features that make it worth looking into. The X1 Omni's main draw is its massive dock that doubles as a charging base and housing for two 4 liter water tanks, a clean sink and the 2.5-liter dust bin that automatically emptys.

The base also comes with a set of control buttons that allow you to manually start a cleaning task, recall the robot, or run the dock's auto-emptying process. Hold down two buttons to toggle the child lock that is a great feature for parents who are worried about children playing with the vacuum.

The X1 Omni like other robotic vacuums, uses its camera to detect obstacles and furniture in its path. It will steer clear of them. True Mapping 2.0 navigation maps your home up to four times faster than laser detection systems.

This can cause the X1 to get stuck if it is entangled in a blockage, such as a power cable draped over a rug. It won't work until you remove it manually. This was a rare occurrence however, it was a bit frustrating because the X1 doesn't have an "stuck status" alert on its app.

Another issue that could be a problem is the X1 Omni's inability to automatically switch between mopping and vacuuming modes during a cleaning session. You will have to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't that bad, except that mopping pads don't get cleaned or dried between use. This can lead to mildew and mold.

On the bright side it's worth noting that the X1 Omni is a beautiful-looking robot, thanks to the design team at Jacob Jensen (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who conceptualized its sleek, modern-looking base and mopping pad apparatus. It's a significant contrast to the utilitarian, all-black bases that are used by rivals like Roborock and iRobot and a pleasing sight in a space which is dominated by clunky, boxy units.
